Project: A Poetry Workshop
Students learn to recognize the special language of poetry and mold it to
their own uses, writing original poetry with a variety of forms and
themes. They strengthen their overall writing skills while also
practicing collaboration, listening, and performing.
Jessica's poems have been published in journals such as Poetry,
Calyx, Carolina Quarterly, Willow Springs, and
Fireweed. She has worked as an editor and a freelance writer, and
has taught writing to students of all ages throughout the state of Oregon.
She is a teaching associate of the Northwest Writing Institute at Lewis and
Clark College.
