Ryan, Craig
Project: Creating Narrative
Students learn narrative techniques through a variety of writing
exercises. Craig uses real-life adventure stories to help students
find strategies for unleashing their imaginations.
Craig has an MA in English Literature and Creative Writing from Brown
University. He is the author of The Pre-Astronauts (1995) and
Magnificent Failure (2003). He has been the contributing host
and consultant for documentaries on the History Channel, the Discovery
Channel Canada, and National Public Radio. Craig teaches writing at
Portland State University, and serves on the Mountain Writers Series board
of directors.
